UKCP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counselling & EMDR Therapy
EMDR Therapy
What is EMDR?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It's a powerful, evidence-based psychotherapy that can help you to heal from trauma and distressing experiences.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR is a psychotherapy that can help you work through traumatic or emotionally difficult experiences in a structured and supportive way. It combines focused attention on memories or emotions with bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or alternating sounds) to help the brain process experiences that feel stuck or unresolved.
EMDR is most commonly associated with trauma and PTSD, but it is also incredibly effective in supporting anyone experiencing depression, anxiety, panic, low self-confidence, phobias, pain, and difficulties rooted in earlier life experiences. Many clients find that, over time, distressing memories begin to feel less emotionally charged and easier to manage thanks to a greater sense of distance and understanding.
I currently offer EMDR as part of my clinical training, working under professional supervision while completing my accredited EMDR qualification.
I am also a UKCP Registered Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. You can read more about counselling and what this means here or in my FAQs.
Sessions are offered within a thoughtful, contained, and well-supported therapeutic setting. If you are interested in exploring whether EMDR Therapy and/or Counselling may be helpful for your circumstances, please feel free to get in touch.
